As of June 30, PDD Holdings Inc's Xiongan branch has seen its number of onboarded employees exceed 600, making it the largest private internet enterprise in the new area.

Since establishing its presence in the Xiongan New Area, the company has been accelerating its comprehensive deployment of talent, resources, and industry, with a focus on driving the high-quality development of the area's digital economy sector.

In terms of talent recruitment, PDD initiated a special hiring plan, with nearly thirty employees on average signing contracts directly with the company each working day, continuously supplying the Xiongan New Area with skilled professionals in internet, big data, and related industries.

Currently, over 80% of the employees at PDD's Xiongan branch are from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with the proportion of fresh graduates consistently increasing as members of the class of 2026 from universities in Beijing, Hebei, and elsewhere continue to arrive in the new area.

According to earlier reports, the initial batch of open positions at PDD in Xiongan reached 1,000, with the entire recruitment cycle expected to provide over 5,000 job opportunities locally.

Within just one month, over 60% of these initial positions have already been filled.

As the employee count continues to rise, PDD has further expanded its recruitment to include management positions at various levels such as team leaders, supervisors, and managers.

It has also introduced a series of new roles including mid-platform operations, data analysis, quality inspection specialists, training supervisors, and training experts.

Additionally, the Xiongan branch will open up promotion pathways for employees through internal competitions, aiming to cultivate more management talent.

On June 21, PDD Group formally completed a signing with China Power Construction Group to purchase an entire 12-story office building in the Xiongan New Area, becoming the first internet company to acquire an office building in the new area.

It is reported that this office building is equipped with a large conference center and training center, and includes welfare facilities for employees such as nursing rooms and leisure areas.

It is expected to be officially operational by the end of July, at which time the entire staff of PDD's Xiongan branch will relocate to the new premises.

Prior to this, a delegation led by Zhu Zheng, Executive President of PDD Group and President of New Pinmu, visited the Xiongan New Area for inspection and research, and officially signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Digital Services with the Xiongan New Area Administrative Committee.

Over the past month, PDD's steps in establishing itself in Xiongan have accelerated significantly, completing a series of substantive developments including company registration, strategic agreement signings, the purchase of an entire building, and the onboarding of 600 employees, solidifying its position as the largest private internet firm in the new area.

PDD stated that the group will take root in and serve Xiongan, increase resource investment and industrial layout, actively explore more potential for cooperation, implement more business scenarios, empower the upstream and downstream industrial chain with digital technology, and build a modern, integrated supply chain system.

It aims to contribute to the in-depth advancement of high-quality construction and development in the Xiongan New Area through concrete actions.
