Optical communication concept stocks staged a broad-based rally during Friday’s trading session. AXT Inc notched an intraday jump of as high as 44%. Astera Labs, Inc. and Coherent both climbed over 9%, while Applied Optoelectronics rose more than 8% and Lumentum advanced upwards of 6%. Corning, Tower Semiconductor and Ciena each posted gains exceeding 5%.
