Centrus plans to expand its uranium enrichment capabilities and capitalize on rising demand for nuclear energy.
In its third-quarter 2024 earnings call, Centrus Energy revealed that it has secured government contracts worth billions of dollars to bolster its production of high-assay, low-enriched uranium and low-enriched uranium. The company is the sole provider of HALEU in the Western world, positioning it favorably to meet the emerging demand for advanced nuclear reactors fueled by HALEU.
Lightbridge touts three technical papers presented at the TopFuel 2024 Conference in Grenoble, France, which it said further validate the enhanced safety and performance of Lightbridge Fuel, particularly its improved performance under extreme conditions.
