China Merchants Bank Gets Regulatory Nod for Two New Non-Executive Directors

China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. (03968) has announced that it received regulatory approvals from the National Financial Regulatory Administration for the qualification of Li Yungui and Huo Da as directors of the bank. The official approvals were documented in the authority's responses numbered Jin Fu [2026] No. 521 and No. 522, which confirmed the eligibility of both individuals for their respective director roles.

Following these approvals, both Mr. Li Yungui and Mr. Huo Da will officially assume their positions as non-executive directors of the bank. Their tenures are set to commence on September 22, 2026, and will continue until the conclusion of the term of the bank's 13th Board of Directors.

Additionally, effective from the same date, and in line with a resolution passed at the 18th meeting of the 13th Board of Directors regarding committee membership adjustments, Mr. Li Yungui has been appointed as a member of the Board's Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee. Mr. Huo Da has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board's Risk and Capital Management Committee, succeeding Mr. Jiang Chaoyang in that leadership position.
