Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is planning to streamline its global vehicle lineup to reallocate resources toward growth sectors. The Japanese automaker announced on Tuesday that it will reduce its global product portfolio from 56 models to 45, discontinuing underperforming vehicles. As part of its long-term business strategy, Nissan aims to incorporate AI-powered driving technology in 90% of its future models. The company stated that its restructuring plan remains on track. These measures include cutting 20,000 jobs over the four years ending March 2028, as well as reducing annual global production capacity and manufacturing sites.
