The annual refueling and major maintenance work for Unit 2 of the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant has been successfully concluded.
This overhaul was initiated in late 2025 by the plant's operator, Taishan Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company Limited, in accordance with the station's design requirements.
The scope of work was adjusted to include additional inspections and tests, aimed at gathering data and experience to support the unit's long-term, stable operation in the future.

As of the announcement date, all related tasks for Taishan Unit 2 have been finished.
The unit's parameters now fully comply with nuclear safety regulations and the power plant's technical specifications.
Unit 2 was successfully reconnected to the grid and resumed power generation on June 2, 2026.
