The 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference returns to the banks of Shanghai's Huangpu River from October 20 to 22, bringing together Nobel laureates and Turing Award winners to discuss the future and trends of technology, along with a dialogue between internet-famous professors Ian Macfarlane and Xiang Biao on relieving anxiety and involution.
During the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference, Li Xiaojia, founder of Drip Capital, attended the "Long-Term Capital and Resilient Growth" forum and stated that reaching the end of the chain cannot be done by giving money away for free in a charitable manner, because investors' money belongs to ordinary people and requires returns.
He stated bluntly that the greatest evil of finance is placing concentrated money in the hands of a few people for them to control, which immediately enables bad actors to do bad things; or even if they do not do bad things, a single decision they make can create enormous financial risk.
If finance can be pushed down to the contract level, allowing micro-contracts to achieve financial sustainability, and bringing development, cash flow returns, and mutually unrelated returns together, then finance can thoroughly move toward development.
