Stock News07-23

Shares of MEDBOT-B (02252) opened sharply higher, gaining over 9%, following the release of a positive profit alert.

The stock rose 9.07% to HK$23.8 by the time of writing, with a turnover of HK$8.0325 million.

On July 22, the company's board announced an anticipated shift from a net loss to a net profit for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026.

The projected net profit is estimated to be between RMB 28 million and RMB 40 million. This contrasts with a net loss of RMB 115 million reported for the corresponding period ending June 30, 2025.

This marks the company's first instance of achieving profitability on a half-yearly basis.

During the reporting period, the group's operating revenue is expected to have surged by approximately 200% to 230% year-on-year.

The sales scale of the Toumai laparoscopic surgical robot saw significant expansion, driven by efforts in both domestic and international markets.

Notably, overseas market revenue for the Toumai product line skyrocketed by more than 450% compared to the previous year.

This substantial growth is attributed to the product's strong technological competitiveness and the widespread recognition of its clinical application performance.

Furthermore, the group effectively leveraged the overseas sales channels and resources of its parent company, MicroPort, achieving simultaneous improvements in both the depth and breadth of market coverage.
