Shandong Energy Regulatory Office Concludes Power Business License Modifications for Transmission, Supply, and Distribution Firms

Deep News07-15

In order to effectively uphold the order of market access in the power sector and encourage enterprises to operate in compliance with the law, the Shandong Energy Regulatory Office has successfully completed a concentrated effort to update the power business licenses for transmission, supply, and distribution companies within its jurisdiction. This initiative was carried out in accordance with regulations such as the "Power Business License Management Regulations" and the "Power Business License Supervision and Management Measures," leveraging its regulatory functions and providing proactive support services.

Earlier, the office conducted a comprehensive review and screening of all transmission, supply, and distribution enterprises listed in the National Energy Administration's qualification and credit information system. This process involved verifying the licensing details for each company item by item to establish a clear baseline of information. Furthermore, considering the new landscape and requirements for power business license supervision, the office made advanced arrangements for the 2026 license modification drive. It specifically compiled the "Power Business License Modification Requirements (2026 Edition)," which outlines the change procedures and handling standards, providing companies with clear guidelines for an orderly application process.

Since the beginning of this year, the Shandong Energy Regulatory Office has processed license modifications for 1 transmission enterprise, 111 power supply enterprises, and 3 power distribution and retail enterprises. This concentrated update effectively ensures that the licensing information of the relevant companies aligns with their actual operational conditions, offering robust support for the standardized operation and healthy, orderly development of the power market.

Moving forward, the office will continue to enhance the application of digital regulatory tools. It will strengthen dynamic verification and follow-up services for licensed enterprises, urging them to consistently meet the required licensing criteria. This approach aims to foster the high-quality development of Shandong's power industry through standardized and efficient license supervision.
