China Unicom has introduced its next-generation communications product, "Unicom Cube," a drag-and-drop customizable service designed to replace traditional plans. The service emphasizes flexibility, transparent pricing, and on-demand consumption.
Traditional mobile plans often fail to meet personalized needs, offering standardization over customization. Common issues include complex rules, fixed monthly fees with set resource limits, and cumbersome modification processes.
Unicom Cube shifts the focus from rigid packages to user experience. It features simple, transparent pricing with tiered data charges: the first 20GB costs 1.5 yuan per GB, 20–50GB is priced at 1.2 yuan per GB, and usage beyond 50GB is billed at 1 yuan per GB. Voice calls and SMS are charged by usage, with domestic calls at 0.1 yuan per minute and messages at 0.1 yuan each.
The service allows users to pay only for what they use, with monthly expenses starting as low as 39 yuan. It supports free customization and online adjustments, enabling subscribers to modify their plans anytime, anywhere.
