International crude oil prices shifted dramatically from a rapid surge to a steep plunge on April 6, Beijing time. By 8:30, WTI crude futures were trading at $112.40 per barrel. Earlier during the session, prices had climbed as high as $115.47 per barrel, reaching a maximum intraday increase of 3.05%.
