Yonghui Superstores Co.,Ltd. has announced its second-phase restructuring strategy, titled "Ten Health Scenarios," during an afternoon briefing on April 24. The Fuzhou Olympic Sports Store serves as the flagship model for this phase, featuring in-depth scenario-based designs aligned with the ten health themes. For instance, the Light Meal Energy Station caters to the health-conscious preferences of younger customers, while the Seafood Kitchen offers on-site cooking of aquatic products.
The "Retail Industry Innovation and Enhancement Implementation Plan," jointly issued by seven departments including the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission, prioritizes "promoting scenario-based transformation." The plan emphasizes the role of operating entities in guiding department stores and shopping malls to adopt "one store, one strategy" reforms, develop community-oriented shopping centers and convenience hubs, and create 15-minute便民生活圈 (convenient living circles).
Yonghui Superstores Co.,Ltd., with its extensive store network deeply embedded in communities, is positioned as a key vehicle for implementing these policies. As of March 2026, the company has completed optimization upgrades at 327 stores. Entering the second phase, CEO Wang Shoucheng stated that the focus will shift to enhancing operational quality. In response to consumer demand, stores nationwide will develop distinctive "Ten Health Scenarios" to stimulate consumption potential through high-quality supply.
Additionally, to capture holiday spending during the May Day period, Yonghui Superstores Co.,Ltd. launched its 2026 prepared crayfish season with new stock. Vice President and Chief Product Officer She Xianping noted that, in alignment with national green consumption initiatives, the company is partnering with Nan County in Hunan—referred to as the "Pearl of Dongting" and a core crayfish origin—to offer high-quality crayfish products nationwide ahead of the holiday. This effort leverages direct sourcing from Dongting Lake and a low-loss cold chain system.
