BRIGHT SMART Securities and Futures (01428) Proposes Appointment of Chen Zhihong as Independent Non-Executive Director

BRIGHT SMART Securities and Futures (01428) has announced that independent non-executive director Mr. Lin Yizhong is required to retire by rotation at the upcoming annual general meeting. Mr. Lin has informed the board of BRIGHT SMART Securities and Futures Group Limited (the company, together with its subsidiaries, referred to as the "Group") that he has decided not to stand for re-election at the AGM in order to devote more time to other commitments and responsibilities.

Mr. Lin will step down from the board following the conclusion of the AGM. Upon his retirement, the company proposes to appoint Mr. Chen Zhihong as an independent non-executive director. The proposed appointment of Mr. Chen is subject to approval by shareholders via an ordinary resolution at the AGM, and, if approved, will take effect from the close of the AGM.
