The 40-day Spring Festival travel period, which ran from February 2 to March 13, has concluded. During this period, the Fuzhou-Matsu "mini three links" passenger route transported over 14,900 passengers, marking a 35.5% year-on-year increase and setting a new record for the same period in history. According to a report released by the Fuzhou Port Passenger Terminal on March 13, the route, regarded as a "golden channel" for cross-strait travel, consists of two specific lines: one from Mawei Langqi to Matsu Fuao and another from Lianjiang Huangqi to Matsu Baisha. Nearly 4,000 passengers traveled via the Mawei Langqi to Matsu Fuao route during the travel rush, while the Lianjiang Huangqi to Matsu Baisha route carried close to 11,000 passengers. Throughout the period, the terminal optimized the flow of passengers in waiting areas, ticket checkpoints, and boarding gates, and continued to implement a joint clearance model that combines two inspections into one. These measures significantly reduced waiting and clearance times for travelers. Additionally, by closely monitoring real-time passenger data and ship movements, the terminal dynamically adjusted extra sailings and docking schedules to precisely match passenger demand and achieve optimal resource allocation. A representative from the Fuzhou Port Passenger Terminal stated that efforts will continue to enhance services on cross-strait routes, further strengthening this vital link for travel between the two sides.
