Alibaba has initiated emergency disaster relief efforts in Guangxi in response to severe flooding triggered by typhoons and heavy rainfall. On July 6th, multiple reservoirs in Nanning and Guigang cities were reported to be in dangerous condition, posing a significant threat to the lives and property of downstream residents.

In alignment with the disaster situation and directives from emergency management authorities, the company has launched its flood prevention and emergency response plan. Recognizing the most urgent needs in the affected areas for nighttime lighting and population evacuation, Alibaba has donated the first batch of 10,000 emergency lighting devices. These items, including rechargeable lamps and flashlights, are being urgently dispatched and are expected to arrive by the morning of July 7th.

Concurrently, Zheng Fei, the head of emergency logistics for Cainiao, Alibaba's logistics arm, has immediately traveled to Nanning to coordinate the company's local resources for disaster relief operations.

Furthermore, the Alibaba Philanthropy Platform, in partnership with merchants from its "Public Welfare Baby" program and the One Foundation, has activated a disaster response. On the evening of July 6th, the first shipment of 2,500 emergency food packages, supported by these philanthropic initiatives, was dispatched to the disaster zone.
