Shandong Pharmaceutical Technician College is a public institution directly under the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and is the sole pharmaceutical technician college in Shandong province. The college fully implements the Party's educational policies, focuses on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and is based on the needs of the Healthy China strategy and the inheritance, innovation, and development of traditional Chinese medicine. It serves the development of the pharmaceutical and health industry and is dedicated to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents in the fields of medicine and health & wellness.
Established in 1977, the college covers an area of 572 acres with a building area of 137,000 square meters and has an enrollment of over 11,000 students. In response to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry's development, the college continuously optimizes its program structure, forming a system of 21 programs across six major categories led by the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Wellness program cluster. This has established a talent cultivation framework closely aligned with the pharmaceutical and health industry chain.
The college adheres to the principle of cultivating both virtue and skills, combining work and study. It deeply advances the reform of the integrated work-study skills talent cultivation model, continuously deepens the integration of industry and education as well as school-enterprise cooperation, and persistently improves the quality of talent cultivation. Since its establishment, the college has cumulatively trained over 80,000 high-skilled talents in the pharmaceutical and health sector at various levels. Teachers and students have repeatedly achieved excellent results in skill competitions at national, provincial, and municipal levels, ranking among the top in similar industry skill competitions nationwide.
The college currently has over 320 full-time and part-time teachers, including 90 with senior professional titles. It possesses national and provincial-level platforms such as the National High-Skilled Talent Training Base, the National Integrated Work-Study Training Base, and the China Training Base for the WorldSkills Competition's Health and Social Care project. It has established practical teaching venues including a traditional Chinese medicine processing base, GMP workshops and a comprehensive training building, and a TCM wellness center, providing strong support for the cultivation of high-skilled talents.
The college adheres to an open approach to education, continuously building the "Jingji Qilu, Chuangye Longgan" joint high-skilled talent cultivation brand. It actively promotes international cooperation in "Chinese Language + TCM Technology," extensively carries out vocational skill training and social services, and actively serves national strategies and regional economic and social development. In recent years, the college has been honored with titles such as National Advanced Collective in the Education System, National Advanced Collective in Pharmaceutical Education, Shandong Provincial Distinguished Technician Education School, and Provincial Civilized Unit.
