Haidilao Strengthens Workforce Retention Through Multiple Measures

Deep News10-21

Haidilao International Holding Ltd.'s 2026 interim results announcement shows that first-half revenue grew 7.9% year on year.

Among the segments, takeout was the most notable in terms of change: in the first half, Haidilao's takeout revenue reached 2.051 billion yuan, up 121.2% year on year.

This is inseparable from Haidilao's active response to the employment structure adjustment of catering enterprises and its effective enhancement of workers' employment stickiness.

It is understood that as of August this year, among Haidilao's current employees, those aged over 40 accounted for more than 25%, female employees accounted for 57%, and employees with rural household registration accounted for 80%.

Starting in 2005, Haidilao has provided education subsidies for the children of eligible employees, and in 2019 it launched the "Parent-Child Companionship Plan."

For employees who wish to return to their hometowns to work, support is provided through the "Go Home Plan."

In addition, the company has also set up programs such as parental support subsidies, home leave, infant care subsidies, and hardship assistance.

In 2020, Haidilao added university scholarships. Children of eligible employees who are admitted to university can receive a reward of 8,800 yuan each.

The first batch of scholarships for the 2026 academic year covers 693 employees' children, with a total amount exceeding 6 million yuan.

As of September 2026, among the group's current employees, nearly 30,000 have worked for at least 5 years, and more than 6,300 have worked for at least 10 years.
