On March 3rd, the night of the Lantern Festival, the shores of Wulanmulun Lake in Kangbashi District were aglow with brilliant lights. Drones and fireworks lit up the night sky, presenting the city with a spectacular visual feast. As the night deepened, large crowds of residents and tourists began to disperse, with traffic and pedestrians converging on surrounding roads. Behind the festive atmosphere, Petrochina's Ordos Branch was providing warm support at its service stations across the city.
To actively support local large-scale events and ensure smooth travel for residents and visitors, the branch had planned ahead and taken proactive measures. It temporarily formed volunteer service teams, organizing eight employees to provide on-site assistance at Kangbashi Central Station, Kangbashi Station 6, Dongsheng Old Company Station, and Dongsheng Yimei East Road Station. Working alongside station staff, they dedicated themselves to ensuring service support during the holiday period.
Following the event, the service stations remained brightly lit as vehicles streamed in one after another. Facing a significant surge in traffic within a short time, employees coordinated effectively—some guiding vehicles orderly into the station, others assisting with refueling operations, and some maintaining on-site order. Meanwhile, the stations' "warm beverage cabinets" and爱心驿站 were fully operational, with hot coffee, water, and other warm drinks being handed out to returning residents, traffic police on duty, sanitation workers, and tourists.
"Just finished watching the fireworks, and it's quite cold outside. I didn't expect to get hot coffee at a gas station—it's really heartwarming," a tourist returning from the event remarked with a smile as they accepted a warm drink. Several university students took a short break at the爱心驿站, expressing repeated thanks for the hot water: "It's our first time experiencing this kind of service at a gas station; it feels especially thoughtful." A sanitation worker who had just finished cleaning up reflected while holding a cup of hot instant noodles: "After working all night, having something warm to eat really warms the heart."
Despite the continuous flow of traffic and the deepening night, the service never ceased. While busy, employees did not forget to remind passing drivers to stay safe, with phrases like "Drive safely" and "Take care on the road" adding a sense of reassurance to the journey home in the cold night. Some staff offered water to outdoor workers坚守岗位, while others gave directions to out-of-town visitors attending the event. These small, thoughtful actions collectively created a wave of warmth during the festive evening.
Service stations are not just points for energy replenishment but also windows for serving society and传递温暖. On this Lantern Festival night, beyond the dazzling lights, steaming hot drinks and sincere greetings allowed returning citizens to feel the thoughtful care from Petrochina amidst the chilly weather.
As the lights faded and the crowds dispersed, the service and warmth continued. The Ordos Branch will persist in integrating higher-quality services into urban development,传递更多温暖与力量 to society with every journey and stop.
