CRRC (01766) gained nearly 3% in morning trading, rising 2.67% to HK$6.16 by the time of writing, with a turnover of HK$90.15 million. The company recently announced its financial results for the first three quarters of 2025, reporting revenue of approximately RMB183.87 billion, up 20.49% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB9.96 billion, a 37.53% increase, with basic earnings per share at RMB0.35.
The revenue growth was primarily driven by higher income from railway equipment and new industrial businesses. Railway equipment, urban rail and infrastructure, new industrial businesses, and modern services accounted for 47.71%, 14.84%, 35.95%, and 1.50% of total revenue, respectively.
Huatai Securities noted that CRRC's rapid delivery of EMUs in the first half led to a slowdown in Q3 revenue and profit growth. However, the brokerage expects steady growth in new EMU orders and advanced maintenance demand in the rail transport equipment sector. As the industry leader, CRRC is well-positioned to capitalize on the sustained industry upcycle.
