Back-to-School Season Seizes Prime Construction Window, South Bridge Renovation Advances Steadily

Deep News09-03 20:11

The renovation project for the Xiao Ling River South Bridge in our city is currently advancing efficiently and steadily, with various bridge deck and ancillary facility works being carried out in an orderly manner. On-site reports indicate that construction of the bridge's pedestrian railing foundation has reached 80% completion, while waterproofing layers and asphalt concrete paving for the south approach road and the fourth and fifth spans have all been fully finished.

Workers are now accelerating the installation of curbstones and paving bricks for the pedestrian walkways, while simultaneously restoring facilities along the approach roads on both sides of the bridge. According to project sources, the renovation plan for the Xiao Ling River South Bridge was developed through a public solicitation of design proposals, with the "Iron Charm" design scheme submitted by China Construction Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. being selected as the final choice.

The scheme delves deep into the urban characteristics of Jinzhou, with railings that fully incorporate industrial and railway cultural elements. Featuring an iron-brown primary color palette paired with stainless steel laser-cut hollow components, the design etches the city's industrial development memories into the bridge structure, embedding its industrial cultural heritage into the bridge's aesthetic. This makes the bridge not only a vital thoroughfare but also a cultural landmark showcasing the city's historical depth.

As a key livelihood transportation project for our city, the Xiao Ling River South Bridge renovation has consistently maintained strict quality and safety controls throughout its construction. The construction schedule is scientifically coordinated to minimize any impact on surrounding traffic. Once completed, the bridge will feature six bidirectional lanes (three in each direction), significantly enhancing its traffic capacity.

The contractor is seizing the favorable construction period to steadily push forward with the remaining works, aiming to achieve convenient passage and benefit residents' travel at the earliest possible time.
