Naver and Spotify Collaborate to Launch New Music Streaming Service

Deep News11-28

South Korea's largest internet company, Naver, announced on Friday that it has partnered with global audio and subscription streaming platform Spotify to introduce a new music streaming service called Spotify Premium Basic.

Naver stated that the service has been added to the content lineup of its Naver Plus membership program.

Naver Plus members who pay a monthly fee of 4,900 won (approximately $3.34) can access Spotify's catalog of over 100 million songs and more than 7 million podcasts for free if they opt for the service within the program.

By comparison, Spotify's own app charges 7,900 won per month for the same service.

Users can also access the Spotify app through Naver Maps' navigation mode.

These new offerings are part of the strategic partnership signed earlier this month between Naver and Spotify.
