Techtronic Industries to Cut Board Lot Size to 100 Shares from 5 October 2026

Bulletin Express09-11

Techtronic Industries Company Limited announced that the standard trading unit of its shares on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong will be reduced from 500 to 100 shares, effective at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 5 October 2026.

At the 11 September 2026 announcement date, Techtronic Industries’ shares closed at HK$127.00. Under the new structure, the value of one board lot will shrink from approximately HK$63.50 thousand (500 shares) to HK$12.70 thousand (100 shares). Management expects the smaller lot size to enhance trading flexibility, increase liquidity and widen the shareholder base without altering existing shareholder rights.

Key timetable • 18 Sep 2026 – 28 Oct 2026: Shareholders can exchange old 500-share certificates for new 100-share certificates free of charge at Tricor Investor Services Limited (17/F, Far East Finance Centre, 16 Harcourt Road, Hong Kong). • 2 Oct 2026: Last trading day for 500-share lots on the original counter. • 5 Oct 2026: Board lot change becomes effective; original counter converts to 100-share lots. Parallel trading in 100-share and 500-share lots commences, and a temporary counter for 500-share lots opens. • 26 Oct 2026: Temporary 500-share counter closes; parallel trading ends at 4:10 p.m. • 28 Oct 2026: Deadline for free exchange of certificates (4:30 p.m.); thereafter a handling fee of HK$2.50 per certificate will apply.

Existing 500-share certificates will remain valid for settlement and transfer, though new certificates issued from 5 October 2026 onward will represent 100 shares each. No special odd-lot matching arrangement is planned, as the change does not create additional odd lots beyond those already in existence.

The board reiterated that the modification aligns with the interests of both the company and its shareholders by lowering the investment threshold and potentially boosting market participation.
