Sunny Optical Technology (02382) has announced its operational data for December 2025. During the month, mobile phone lens shipments totaled 95.592 million units, representing a decrease of 20% compared to the previous month and an 8.9% decline year-on-year. Shipments of vehicle-mounted lenses reached 7.477 million units, showing a significant month-over-month drop of 40.8% but a robust year-on-year increase of 17.7%. Meanwhile, mobile phone camera module shipments stood at 37.744 million units, declining by 9% from the prior month and falling sharply by 29.3% compared to the same period last year.

According to the announcement, the 20.0% month-on-month decrease in mobile phone lens shipments was primarily attributable to customers' inventory management measures at year-end. The 17.7% year-on-year growth in vehicle-mounted lens shipments was mainly driven by improved demand from the client side; however, the 40.8% sequential decline was largely influenced by the Christmas holiday period affecting client operations. The substantial 29.3% year-on-year contraction in mobile phone camera module shipments was chiefly due to the higher baseline from the same period last year, which had been elevated by efforts to meet customers' accelerated delivery requirements.
