LONGCHEER (09611) saw its shares rise more than 7% during afternoon trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 4.97%, trading at HK$24.92 with a turnover of HK$18.2362 million.
The movement follows news that on April 14, Zhiyuan conducted an 8-hour live broadcast of real production line operations at LONGCHEER's Nanchang tablet manufacturing facility. The event served as a public, global demonstration verifying the successful large-scale deployment of the world's first embodied AI-powered precision manufacturing production line for the 3C industry.
It was reported that in October last year, Zhiyuan Robotics secured a partnership with LONGCHEER, a leading global ODM provider for smart products. This collaboration represented one of the largest orders in China's industrial embodied AI robotics sector at the time.
Additionally, LONGCHEER recently announced the acquisition of a 60% equity stake in Kejuncheng Precision and Jiya Metal for a total consideration of RMB 540 million. This move is part of the company's strategy to expand into high-precision metal etching and VC thermal module businesses. LONGCHEER stated that the acquisition is a significant step in accelerating its global expansion and advancing its key account and product strategies.
