Bitcoin Faces Resistance at $81K While Weekend Altcoin Rally Fades Rapidly

Stock News09-07 21:03

Bitcoin is trading weak and choppy near $79,300, with trading activity stalled during the US Labor Day holiday, leaving macro liquidity temporarily frozen. The failure to break through the $81,400 resistance level is the core reason for Bitcoin's narrow weekend range, with a decline of 1.3% since midnight UTC.

Notably, Nasdaq 100 futures have risen 0.3% against the trend, diverging from crypto assets and extending the split seen since last week. Woofun AI data shows that Bittensor (TAO), Kaspa (KAS), Internet Computer (ICP), and Celestia (TIA) performed strongly over the weekend, each gaining more than 12%. However, most of the momentum was released before midnight UTC, with bullish momentum quickly fading afterward.

The market has now entered a pullback phase, with TAO edging up 0.4% and Chainlink (LINK) rising 1%, while NEAR Protocol (NEAR) has fallen 1.5%. This marks a typical shift back to rational pricing after the weekend's sentiment-driven surge.
