Dida Carpool Introduces Three New Features for Ride Invitations, User Interest Tags Surpass 3.34 Million

The ride invitation feature on Dida's carpool platform has been updated with three new mechanisms: "Interest-Based Invitation," "Voice Invitation," and "Trip Following."

Both passengers and drivers can now invite individuals with similar interest tags to share a ride when creating a trip request. The platform also proactively recommends potential travel companions who share similar interests or have previously given each other positive ratings.

When inviting a passenger, drivers can now leave a voice message. Passengers receiving an invitation can view a text transcript of the message and listen to the audio, which is expected to improve invitation acceptance rates.

To facilitate repeat trips between users, Dida has introduced a "Trip Following" function. After completing a journey, drivers and passengers can choose to follow each other's future trip plans. If the followed user posts a new trip with a similar origin, destination, and departure time within a few days, the follower will automatically receive a notification and can directly invite them for the ride.

Since its initial launch in late 2024, the ride invitation feature has undergone continuous upgrades and scenario expansions. A company representative stated that the invitation system is an extension of the platform's two-way matching mechanism for carpooling and is a key component of Dida's "semi-acquaintance" travel product matrix. The invitation process itself is designed to build trust and foster friendliness between drivers and passengers, aiming to increase the reliability of shared rides and create a more relaxed and pleasant carpooling atmosphere.

Furthermore, due to their effectiveness in enhancing mutual trust, user interest tags and personalized profile pictures have now been incorporated into Dida's user credit scoring system. To date, the total number of interest tags added by Dida carpool users has exceeded 3.34 million, representing an increase of over 200% since December 2025. Among all tag categories, the top five are hobbies, industry, hometown, profession, and age. The proportion of daily active users who have set interest tags continues to show steady growth among both drivers and passengers.
