On March 3, Huarong District held a concentrated signing ceremony for a strong start to the first quarter of 2026, along with the launch of the Zhongkai Semiconductor Special Fund. Twelve key semiconductor industry chain projects were signed on the same day to settle in the Honglian Lake Tourism Resort. These include the excimer laser project by Wuhan Yaoxian Laser Technology Co., the semiconductor epitaxial equipment manufacturing project by Suzhou Guoweina Semiconductor, the thin-film lithium niobate photonic chip production base project by Beijing Kangguan Century Optoelectronics Technology Co., and the AI R&D and manufacturing project by Chongqing Soft River Turing. The projects cover multiple critical segments of the semiconductor industry chain, including semiconductor devices, equipment manufacturing, artificial intelligence algorithms, and chip co-design. Among them are specialized and innovative enterprises with core technologies, as well as supporting projects from industry leaders, closely aligning with the development plan for the "optics, chip, display, and network" industrial cluster.
It is reported that earlier, Optics Valley announced plans to build a world-class integrated memory and computing industry within a 60-square-kilometer area, centered around Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd. with a radius of 4.5 kilometers. In collaboration with Yangtze Memory, the "Wutong Tree Plan" will be implemented to attract upstream and downstream partners, focusing on cutting-edge research and development. Through the alignment of demand, design, technical routes, and supply chain, an efficient "5-minute collaboration circle" will be established. The Honglian Lake Tourism Resort is actively developing into a major semiconductor industry hub around Yangtze Memory. In 2025 alone, the semiconductor industrial park signed dozens of projects each valued at over 100 million yuan, accelerating the formation of an industrial chain encompassing design, manufacturing, and packaging and testing.
