OMNIVISION (00501) announced that, in order to deepen the strategic synergy between the two parties, the company will leverage Axera's core technologies in visual terminals, edge inference, and smart automotive sectors. This initiative aims to advance strategic cooperation in areas such as automotive intelligent driving and on-device AI, fostering the efficient integration of technological and industrial resources. The move is designed to fully unlock business synergies, enhance the company's technological reserves and supply chain resilience, and boost its long-term core competitiveness. The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Will Hong Kong, intends to use its own funds, up to a maximum of $50 million USD (excluding brokerage commissions, HKEX trading fees, SFC transaction levy, and FRC transaction levy, among others), to subscribe for shares in Axera's initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The shareholding ratio will be determined based on the market capitalization at the time of issuance.
