Lopal Tech’s board has approved an investment of up to RMB 500.00 million to build a combined Global Headquarters and New Energy, New Materials and Artificial Intelligence Smart Innovation Centre in the Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone. The decision was ratified at the 17th meeting of the fifth‐session board on 24 September 2026 and does not require shareholder approval, as it falls within the board’s authority and is neither a connected transaction nor a material asset restructuring.
The project will consolidate headquarters functions with forward-looking R&D and innovation incubation under one roof. Scheduled to break ground on 9 October 2026 and take roughly 24 months to complete, the complex will be located west of Xianxin Road and south of Hengguang Road on land already acquired by the company and designated for scientific and technological R&D use. The facility is intended exclusively for the company’s own operations; no revenue contribution has been projected.
Funding of up to RMB 500.00 million will be sourced from internal resources, bank loans and other permissible channels. The board has authorised management to handle detailed financing arrangements and contract execution.
Management expects the new headquarters and innovation centre to: • Streamline dispersed operations and improve resource allocation, • Expand R&D capacity in lithium battery materials, new energy and new materials, • Enhance talent attraction and retention through upgraded facilities, and • Strengthen the company’s brand image and long-term competitiveness.
According to the announcement, the project’s size, cost and timeline remain estimates; economic or policy shifts could delay, alter or halt development.
Over the past 12 months, Lopal Tech’s aggregate external investments, including this project, have reached approximately 10% of its most recently audited net assets. Other disclosed investments comprise RMB 20.00 million to establish Jiangsu Yika Zhilian Technology Co., Ltd. and US$0.01 million to set up Teec Asia Pacific New Energy Pte. Ltd.
Company operations are expected to continue uninterrupted during construction, and the board states the initiative will not adversely impact existing business activities.
