Pre-Market Wrap: AI Application Sector Sees Multiple Catalysts, Nuclear Power Gets Top-Level Boost

AI applications receive multiple positive catalysts: US tech giants Microsoft and Amazon have confirmed AI commercialization in their earnings reports, while ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 has launched. DeepSeek-V4-Flash's official API is now available on China's national supercomputing platform, and Chinese products have claimed the top five spots globally for large model call volume. OpenAI has also cut its API pricing.

The State Council executive meeting has decided to approve four new nuclear power projects, including the first phase of the Liaoning Zhuanghe project. This includes eight new units, such as the second phase of the Zhejiang Jinqimen nuclear power project (Units 3 and 4). Nuclear power projects are a key driver for expanding effective investment, and the total investment for these new projects is estimated to exceed 170 billion yuan.

The State Council has called for effectively expanding domestic demand, focusing on high-potential, high-driving-force sectors to introduce a series of strong measures. It will accelerate the implementation of major projects identified in the "15th Five-Year Plan" and push forward the construction of the "Six Networks" plan.

The People's Bank of China has stated it will continue to implement a moderately accommodative monetary policy. It pledged to promptly introduce practical and effective incremental policies, strengthen counter-cyclical adjustments, boost domestic demand, optimize supply, and solidly execute key tasks for the second half of the year to drive sustainable economic improvement.

US President Donald Trump mentioned on August 2nd that an agreement has been reached regarding the Strait of Hormuz and that a deal on denuclearization will also be reached. Trump stated that the US will hold negotiations with Iran on August 3rd. Following this news, WTI crude oil futures prices fell by 6.22% to $79.401 per barrel.

The 12th round of national drug centralized procurement has concluded, with products from several listed companies selected as intended winners. Xiangcai Securities recommends focusing on three main lines: innovative technology platform companies, comprehensive innovative drug companies, and upstream companies in the innovative drug supply chain. These directions are driven by strong policy adaptability and clear innovation drivers, offering significant potential for valuation recovery and earnings growth.
