Galloping into the New Year and enjoying the winter break together, here is the 2026 winter vacation notice for the Primary and Middle School Divisions of Xi'an Bodi School.
Dear Parents and Students, As winter nurtures all things and the year opens a new chapter, the semester's campus life has drawn to a successful close amidst the warmth of winter and the anticipation of the New Year. Looking back, the young scholars of Bodi have accumulated knowledge through reading, grown through practice, and striven forward with companionship, reaping both knowledge and joy while honing their skills and sense of responsibility. To ensure students have a safe, peaceful, fulfilling, and enriching winter vacation, and in accordance with the winter vacation work arrangements of the Xi'an Municipal Education Bureau and the specific circumstances of Xi'an Bodi School, the relevant details for the 2026 winter vacation are announced as follows:
I. Arrangements for Vacation and School Resumption 1. Winter vacation start date: Monday, February 2, 2026 (Lunar Calendar: December 15) 2. Spring semester registration date: Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (Lunar Calendar: January 16) 3. Official start of classes: Thursday, March 5, 2026 (Lunar Calendar: January 17)
II. Warm Safety Tips for the Holiday Safety is the foundation of a good holiday, and health is the cornerstone of growth. Parents are requested to earnestly fulfill their guardianship responsibilities, work hand-in-hand with the school to strengthen safety precautions, guide children to enhance their safety awareness, and jointly ensure the following safety measures: 1. Traffic and travel safety: Consciously abide by traffic rules; children under 12 years old should not ride bicycles on the road, and those under 16 should not ride electric bicycles. Do not take unlicensed, unregistered, or illegally operated vehicles. When crossing the street, pay attention to traffic conditions and remember to "slow down, look both ways, and then cross." During severe weather conditions like snow, ice, or heavy fog, minimize outings and take anti-slip and warmth preservation measures if travel is necessary. 2. Home safety protection: Use water, electricity, and gas properly at home; do not install electrical wiring haphazardly or tamper with sockets and electrical appliances randomly. Ensure indoor ventilation when using gas and turn off the valve promptly after use. Do not play with fire, lighters, knives, or other dangerous items; do not throw objects out of windows. Do not open the door for strangers; promptly inform parents of unfamiliar calls or knocks at the door to heighten self-protection awareness. 3. Fire safety and fireworks safety: Do not play with fire or carry ignition sources; do not set off fireworks and firecrackers indiscriminately, especially near accumulations of combustible materials like corridors, balconies, and lawns, or in crowded places. Learn basic fire safety knowledge, familiarize yourself with home emergency escape routes, and guard against carbon monoxide poisoning. 4. Health and online safety: Maintain a reasonable schedule, ensure adequate sleep, and eat a balanced diet while limiting consumption of raw, cold, fried, and puffed foods. Engage in appropriate indoor and outdoor physical exercise to enhance physical fitness. Practice good personal hygiene; wear masks in crowded places to protect against respiratory infectious diseases. Guide children to use the internet healthily, control their online time, avoid addiction to online games, refrain from clicking on unfamiliar links, and never meet strangers from the internet to prevent online scams and cyberbullying. 5. Outdoor activities and personal safety: Do not visit venues unsuitable for minors, such as internet cafes and KTVs. When going out for recreation, abide by scenic area regulations, do not climb on dangerous facilities, and avoid entering remote or undeveloped areas. 6. The winter break is a wonderful time for rest and growth. May students plan their schedules wisely, complete their homework on time, persist in reading and exploration, actively share household chores, and, while experiencing the traditional customs of the Horse Year New Year and inheriting the virtue of filial piety, spend more time communicating with family. Consciously practice social ethics and strive to be civilized young citizens, making the holiday warm, fulfilling, and educationally rewarding.
As winter gives way to spring, everything is renewed. May this winter vacation be filled with the enrichment of reading for the mind, the tempering of skills through labor, the warmth of family companionship, and the festive spirit adorning the days. It is hoped that students will recharge and reap growth during the break, greeting the new semester with high spirits and a dynamic attitude!
We extend our sincere gratitude to all parents for your understanding, support, and cooperation with the school's work this semester. As the Spring Festival approaches, all faculty and staff of Xi'an Bodi School wish parents and students a happy New Year, family happiness, good fortune in the Year of the Horse, and all the best!
