On the morning of November 27, a 35-ton open-top container train loaded with soybeans departed from Handan International Land Port, heading toward the Tianjin Dabi Railway Freight Yard. This marked the official opening of the dedicated railway line at Handan International Land Port, signifying Hebei Port Group's successful establishment of a new logistics corridor in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The project further advances multimodal transport development and reduces overall logistics costs.
As a key national demonstration project for shifting freight transport from road to rail, the Handan International Land Port Railway Line was constructed by China Railway Sixth Group with a total investment of approximately 760 million yuan. The project includes the dedicated railway line, supporting facilities, and a comprehensive freight yard. The railway line spans 8.9 kilometers, featuring four full-length arrival/departure tracks and five loading/unloading tracks. It directly connects to major rail routes such as the Beijing-Guangzhou, Handan-Huanghua, Handan-Changzhi, and Handan-Jinan lines, providing comprehensive services for bulk cargo, general cargo, automobile shipments, and full-container train operations, including loading, unloading, warehousing, and distribution.
This dedicated line serves as a crucial link between the national railway network and ports/industrial parks, eliminating the "last-mile" challenge in rail freight transport. It ensures seamless cargo transfer, significantly reducing intermediate handling processes and improving overall logistics efficiency.
