A youth-led initiative, jointly organized by the Communist Youth League committees of Tongchuan City and Yancheng City, has recently sparked a compassionate relay across regions. Dubbed the "Partnership Plan: Safeguarding the Future" and the Yan-Tong "Youth Power" Micro-Wish Fulfillment Campaign, the program has created a warm and supportive environment for left-behind children facing difficult circumstances through concrete actions.
Following its launch, Youth League committees across Tongchuan's districts, counties, and the New District administrative committee swiftly mobilized. They precisely identified 11 rural primary schools and teaching points with concentrations of left-behind children in need. With careful guidance from teachers, the children enthusiastically wrote down their individual "micro-wishes."
A comprehensive survey revealed that the campaign collected 504 heartfelt wishes, which were categorized into three main types: dynamic sports and recreational equipment (such as basketballs, badminton rackets, and drones), warm and protective clothing items (including insulated coats, shoes, scarves, and gloves), and intellectually stimulating stationery and educational tools (like 3D puzzles, strategy board games, and science experiment kits). Each wish, simple yet pure, reflects the children's aspirations for a better life.
"The children's wishes are our responsibility to protect!" declared the Youth League committees of Tongchuan and Yancheng, who coordinated efforts and promptly responded with compassion. The two municipal committees jointly undertook the fulfillment of all 504 micro-wishes, leveraging the power of Yan-Tong collaboration to safeguard the children's hopes.
Recently, the Tongchuan Youth Post Comprehensive Development Center, in partnership with the Tongchuan Youth Volunteers Association and the Tongchuan Volunteer Service Federation, officially commenced the sorting and packaging of the wish items. Volunteers transformed into "messengers of care," systematically organizing sports equipment, warm clothing, and creative toys by school, meticulously checking lists, and carefully packaging each parcel. The assembled care packages were then centrally coordinated by the Tongchuan Youth Post Comprehensive Development Center for distribution to the respective district, county, and New District Youth League committees.
Leveraging local conditions, these committees organized young volunteers and community benefactors to visit the schools and conduct warm distribution ceremonies. Through these thoughtfully arranged interactions, the children genuinely experienced the warmth and support of the broader community.
This initiative represents not merely a charitable effort but a vivid demonstration of Yan-Tong Youth League collaboration actively contributing to rural revitalization. The Tongchuan Youth Post Comprehensive Development Center pledges to further deepen the "Partnership Plan" and explore pathways for regularizing the "micro-wish" activity, ensuring that youthful energy continues to illuminate the growth journey of these children with many small, yet significant, beams of light.
