Mingyuan Cloud's Zhu Min: AI Transformation Is About Adding Value, Not Total Disruption

Special Topic: 2026 State-Owned Enterprise High-Quality Development Innovation Conference. The "2026 State-Owned Enterprise High-Quality Development Innovation Conference" was held in Beijing from October 22 to 24. The theme was "Anchoring National Strategy, Forging Core Functions—Empowering Chinese-Style Modernization Through High-Quality Development."

MING YUAN CLOUD (00909) Group Solutions Head Zhu Min said in his speech that as the development logic shifts, many state-owned enterprises previously configured their capabilities and resources around investment and construction, and building up stock operations and sustained returns has become a new challenge. A full-cycle operating system covering "investment, construction, operation, and exit" has not yet been fully established. Enterprises generally face common difficulties such as being unable to clearly grasp their asset base and needing to improve operating efficiency, compounded by multiple task pressures including stock revitalization targets and penetrating regulatory implementation.

On AI transformation, many enterprises are highly enthusiastic and have great expectations, yet they are stuck at the breakpoint "from pilot to value." How to select scenarios, how to support with data, and how to measure value have become widespread confusions. In response to these dilemmas, Zhu Min proposed four major directions for breaking through.

The first is cognitive upgrading. In the stock era, transformation is not just about upgrading tools and efficiency. The goal should be upgraded from "completing tasks" to "value creation," capability building should shift from relying on individual experience to organization-wide capability enhancement, and the collaboration logic should move from "each optimizing separately" to "one coordinated game across the entire chain."

The second is returning to a business orientation. "AI transformation is not only a technical proposition, but also a business proposition." The criterion for evaluating AI's value is whether it can truly and substantively solve business problems. The third is anchoring value creation, exploring AI application scenarios along the real estate value chain, with problems coming from the business and answers found in scenarios, ensuring that results are measurable and verifiable. The last is a prudent implementation strategy. AI transformation is not total disruption, but "adding value" rather than "disrupting." It is necessary to persist with partial reconstruction, pilot first, and rapid iteration.

Zhu Min said that in the stock era, real estate operating returns will increasingly rely on tapping into stock assets. The value of AI lies not in conceptual innovation, but in embedding itself into every business link and continuously providing implementable digital support for revitalizing state-owned assets and enhancing value.
