Sunac China Holdings Limited (Sunac) has published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing progress in corporate governance, environmental performance and social responsibility.
Governance Highlights • The Board is the highest decision-making body for ESG, supported by a dedicated ESG Committee and ESG Work Group. • One ESG Committee meeting was held in 2025 to review policies, risk controls and disclosure. • No corruption cases were filed or concluded during the year; 277 internal control inspections focusing on business ethics and anti-corruption were completed.
Environmental Performance • Group-wide Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions totalled 654,808 tCO₂e, while business-travel and commuting (Scope 3 Categories 6 and 7) added 8,911 tCO₂e. • Comprehensive energy use reached 1.31 million MWh and water consumption 25.27 million tonnes. • All new real-estate projects met China’s green-building standards; the cultural-tourism portfolio achieved 100 % dual certification (domestic Green Building + LEED/BREEAM). • Prefabricated construction accounted for 42 % of project count; eight Bonski indoor-ski resorts added rooftop photovoltaic systems. • Total hazardous waste was 12.5 t, non-hazardous waste 4,186 t, both handled by licensed contractors.
Operational & Product Quality • 54,000 homes were delivered in 2025, substantially completing guaranteed delivery tasks. • No product recalls were recorded. • A digital platform (“Sunac Intelligent Construction”) now covers 25 quality, safety and progress modules across all projects.
Human Capital • Sunac employed 31,365 regular staff; 100 % signed labour contracts and received occupational-health coverage. • Three work-related injuries occurred, with 31 lost work-days and zero fatalities. • Training coverage reached 100 %, averaging 52.4 hours per employee, supported by internal lecturer and online-learning systems. • Employee turnover was 21.8 %.
Supply-Chain Management • The approved roster included 11,595 suppliers, 99.9 % located in mainland China. • About half of suppliers hold ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 certifications. • All partners signed Integrity Cooperation Agreements; signing rate and employee integrity-commitment coverage both reached 100 %.
Community Investment • Cumulative charitable donations exceeded RMB 3.10 billion, with 2025 initiatives spanning rural revitalisation, education and inclusive welfare. • The “Ice and Snow Sports into Campus” campaign reached 111 schools and 30,000 students; additional science-popularisation and environmental programmes were launched nationwide.
Strategic Outlook The report notes that Sunac will continue integrating climate-risk management into enterprise-wide risk controls, expand Scope 3 emissions accounting beyond business travel and commuting, and formulate quantitative decarbonisation targets when data maturity permits.
