NIO CEO William Li Announces Silk Road Battery Swap Route to Launch in September with Over 30 Stations

At the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show, NIO Inc. Founder, Chairman, and CEO William Li announced the company's battery swap network expansion plans. He stated that in May, the Hexi Corridor section of the Silk Road battery swap route will become operational. This segment spans 1,739 kilometers and will be equipped with 20 battery swap stations.

Furthermore, Li revealed that by September, the entire Silk Road battery swap route will be fully connected. The complete route stretches 3,448 kilometers and will feature a network of more than 30 battery swap stations.
