On January 19, the legal department of NIO Inc. announced that multiple online accounts have been ordered by the court to apologize and pay compensation for "maliciously defaming NIO."

NIO stated that the users and operators of several accounts, including "Wangtu Network," Mao Xiangjian, and Changsha County Xingsha Xiaowangtu Network Technology Service Studio, repeatedly published false information related to NIO through their controlled multi-platform accounts. They maliciously slandered the company's business operations to gain traffic and seek improper benefits. Recently, the court issued a first-instance judgment in the case, ruling their actions illegal and a serious infringement of NIO's legitimate rights and interests. The court legally ordered them to make a public apology and compensate NIO for economic losses.

The users and operators of multiple accounts, including "Lao Cai Business Reflection," Cai Yongjin, Wang Yanzhao, and Hangzhou Qingsong Laike Culture Media Co., Ltd., repeatedly published insulting and defamatory content about NIO through their controlled multi-platform accounts, damaging the company's reputation. Recently, the court issued an effective judgment in the case, ruling their actions illegal. The three defendants have already fulfilled the judgment by compensating NIO and issuing an apology.

NIO emphasized its active response to the call from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments for a special campaign to rectify online misconduct in the automotive industry. The company will continue to use legal weapons to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of both the enterprise and its users, maintaining a zero-tolerance attitude towards any illegal actions that defame NIO and its users. NIO aims to work with all sectors to build a clean and clear online space. Meanwhile, NIO and its users consistently uphold positive values, and all compensation obtained from these rights protection actions will continue to be donated to support public welfare causes such as education and elderly care.
