AT&T Inc (NYSE: T) has announced a collaboration with LM Ericsson Telephone (NASDAQ: ERIC) to supply 600MHz dual-band radio equipment, facilitating the deployment of spectrum recently acquired from EchoStar.

The telecommunications giant stated that partnering with the network and telecom equipment manufacturer to roll out the 600MHz spectrum will deliver robust indoor coverage, helping customers maintain connectivity in more locations. AT&T noted that in areas covered by Ericsson's infrastructure, it has observed improvements in average network speeds, enhanced call reliability, and a reduction in instances of slow data speeds.

Igal Elbaz, Senior Vice President of Technology and Network Services at AT&T, said that by combining the 600MHz spectrum with Ericsson's advanced radio equipment, the company will build a more modern and flexible network. AT&T will release further details regarding its deployment plans, including timeline and commercial availability, at a later date.
