Bulletin Express04-14

Modern Chinese Medicine Group Co., Ltd. (Modern Chinese Medicine) announced that the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has identified a high concentration of ownership in the company’s shares. As of 30 March 2026, 25 shareholders and their related parties controlled 652.33 million shares, representing 90.60 % of the 720.00 million shares in issue. Only 67.67 million shares, or 9.40 %, remained in the hands of other shareholders.

During the period under review, the company’s share price surged 316 %, rising from HK$0.51 on 31 December 2025 to HK$2.12 on 30 March 2026. The upward trend continued, and the price closed at HK$2.94 on 13 April 2026, marking a cumulative increase of 476 % since 31 December 2025.

Modern Chinese Medicine confirmed that, to the best of directors’ knowledge, no less than 25 % of its shares were held by the public both on 30 March 2026 and on the date of the announcement, meeting Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing rules.

The board highlighted that the limited free float could lead to substantial price volatility even on low trading volumes and urged shareholders and potential investors to exercise extreme caution. The disclosure follows an enquiry by the SFC into the company’s shareholding structure.
