China Mobile Limited disclosed in its Monthly Return for May 2026 that 10.20 million new Hong Kong–listed ordinary shares were issued during the month, lifting the company’s Hong Kong share count to 20.78 billion. No treasury shares were held or cancelled, and the separate 902.77 million Shanghai-listed RMB Shares remained unchanged.
The entire share increase originated from employee option exercises under two 2020-adopted schemes: • HKD55.00 exercise-price scheme: 2.57 million options converted into shares, with 71.86 million options outstanding at month-end. • HKD51.60 exercise-price scheme: 7.63 million options exercised, leaving 421.59 million options outstanding.
Proceeds from these option exercises totalled HKD535.09 million for the month.
Post-transaction, China Mobile confirmed that its public float exceeded the 5% minimum required for PRC issuers with other listed shares, ensuring ongoing compliance with Main Board Rule 13.32D(1). No warrants, convertibles, treasury-share movements or other equity-linked instruments were reported for the period.
