During a dialogue on the program "Zhongguancun Dialogue: AI Spring Evening" broadcast on China Central Television, Moore Threads Technology Co.,Ltd. founder, Chairman, and CEO Zhang Jianzhong stated that while it is often said poverty limits imagination, computational power can similarly constrain innovation. This remark was made during his conversation with Professor Wang Yu from Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering.
Zhang Jianzhong pointed out that developing a superior chip requires advanced technology, versatility, a low barrier to entry for easy learning, widespread applicability, and a level of appeal that the market can embrace. Consequently, the company specifically engineered a chip termed the "full-function GPU," with the aspiration of empowering various industries.
"When designing our chips, we established the MUSA ecosystem, which constitutes our self-sufficient and controllable ecosystem," Zhang Jianzhong expressed. He emphasized that it is essential to believe that China, possessing the largest number of AI users and developers globally, is poised to give rise to the most extensive ecosystem.
