The company has announced its intention to purchase a total of 24 vessels, with the total contract value amounting to 8.656 billion yuan. The delivery of these ships is scheduled to take place in batches between 2029 and 2030.
Specifically, the group has entered into a 2026 shipbuilding contract with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. for the construction of 15 multipurpose grain carriers, each with a deadweight of 87,000 tons. The total contract price for these vessels is approximately 4.785 billion yuan, excluding taxes and fees.
Additionally, a separate 2026 shipbuilding contract has been signed with China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited for the construction of nine vessels. This order comprises five multipurpose grain carriers with a deadweight of 87,000 tons, carrying a total price of about 1.595 billion yuan; two bulk carriers with a deadweight of 211,000 tons, with a total price of approximately 1.056 billion yuan; and two dry cargo ships with a deadweight of 210,000 tons, with a total price of around 1.22 billion yuan. The total value of this contract with China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited is approximately 3.871 billion yuan.
On the same day, the company's board of directors reviewed and approved that, upon delivery of the relevant target vessels, the group will provide leasing services for these ships to Huifeng Shipping Co., Ltd., with the group acting as the owner/lessor and Huifeng Shipping as the charterer/lessee. The lease term for each vessel will be 20 years, subject to a variance of 120 days from the delivery date of the respective target ship.
The board believes that these transactions will further expand the scale of the group's ship leasing business, enhance the quality of its vessel asset portfolio, consolidate the foundation for the development of its ship leasing operations, and contribute to generating stable long-term income and cash flow for the group.
