South Korea's Kospi index rose as much as 3.5% on Friday, tracking gains in U.S. stocks from the previous session. Samsung Electronics climbed 4.9%, while SK Hynix advanced 6.6%, making them the largest contributors to the index's increase. Overnight, the S&P 500 erased intraday losses to close 0.1% higher, marking its third consecutive day of gains.
