Macquarie's Research Report
Macquarie released a research report stating that channel data indicates BUSYMING is on track to open approximately 5,000 new stores in the first half of 2026. The current forecast for the full year 2026 is for 6,500 to 7,000 new stores, surpassing the company's own guidance of 5,000 stores.
The report notes that BUSYMING is focused on driving high-quality growth. The company's expansion into new categories such as fresh and frozen foods, coupled with successful supply chain optimization efforts, is expected to boost same-store sales and enhance store profitability.
Macquarie currently forecasts stable same-store sales growth for the first half, with revenue projected to increase by 55% year-on-year. Gross margin is expected to improve by 0.7 percentage points year-on-year, and adjusted net profit is anticipated to grow by 64% year-on-year.
Consequently, Macquarie has raised its net profit forecast for the 2026 fiscal year by 4.7%. It estimates an average annual compound growth rate of approximately 20% for profits from fiscal 2026 to 2028. The target price has been increased by 3.5% to HK$592, and the firm maintains its "Outperform" rating on the stock.
