Tesla's sales in Australia this year are on track to set an all-time record, with the company having nearly recovered all the ground lost after two consecutive years of declining deliveries.
From January to October this year, Tesla Motors (ASX: TSLA) delivered 45,755 vehicles in Australia, up 94.1% compared with the same period in 2025. That means only 362 more sales are needed in the remaining two months of the year to surpass its annual record of 46,116 units set in 2023.
However, as that milestone approaches, the company's monthly deliveries are slowing. October deliveries of 4,050 units were Tesla Motors' (ASX: TSLA) lowest level since April, following an earlier decline in September deliveries.
With two months still left before year-end, Tesla Motors' (ASX: TSLA) cumulative Australia deliveries for 2026 are already 58.6% higher than its total for all of 2025. Compared with the January-to-October figure, deliveries rose sharply from 23,569 units to 45,755 units.
The recovery has been driven mainly by Tesla Motors' (ASX: TSLA) Model Y SUV range, which contributed 39,035 deliveries this year, an increase of 117.2% from the same period last year.
