Essex Bio-Tech Executes HK$0.90 Million Share Buyback, Trimming Outstanding Shares to 565.65 Million in July

Essex Bio-Technology Limited disclosed its Monthly Return for the period ended 31 July 2026, highlighting a modest reduction in outstanding equity following a share repurchase during the month.

Key Share Capital Movements • Authorised share capital remained unchanged at 1.00 billion ordinary shares with a par value of HK$0.10, equal to HK$100.00 million.

• Total issued share count stayed flat at 567.01 million, but the mix shifted: – Issued shares (excluding treasury) fell by 350,000 to 565.65 million. – Treasury shares rose by the same 350,000 to 1.36 million.

• The 350,000-share repurchase, executed on 2 July 2026 at HK$2.5586 per share, cost approximately HK$0.90 million and represents 0.06% of shares outstanding at the prior month-end.

Share Option Scheme Status • No share options were exercised in July. • The 2023 Share Option Scheme still allows for up to 57.06 million shares to be issued upon future option exercises.

Public Float Compliance • Essex Bio-Tech confirmed compliance with the Main Board’s minimum 25% public float requirement as at 31 July 2026.

Governance • The monthly return was submitted on 3 August 2026 and signed by Director Mr. Fang Haizhou.

The buyback activity marginally reduced free-floating shares while maintaining overall issued capital, reflecting the company’s ongoing capital-management strategy within regulatory guidelines.
