To help sixth-grade girls better understand the physiological and psychological changes during puberty and foster healthy growth perspectives, Fule No. 3 Primary School in Mianyang invited Wang Xiaoxue, a mental health expert from the Education and Sports Bureau, to deliver a lecture titled "Blossoming Adolescence, Mind Navigation" on December 3, 2025.
Wang Xiaoxue began the session with an engaging icebreaker game called "Big Wind Blows," using lighthearted prompts like "blow if you like this color" or "blow if you're good at this" to quickly connect with the students and create a lively atmosphere. She then provided an insightful discussion on physical changes, emotional management, self-protection, and interpersonal relationships, tailored to the developmental characteristics of girls in puberty. Through vivid language and relatable examples, she guided students to address common adolescent concerns and taught them scientific methods for emotional regulation and self-care. The students actively participated by asking questions and sharing experiences, while Wang patiently offered encouragement and professional advice.
The lecture effectively addressed gaps in adolescent mental health education, providing crucial support for the girls' growth during this transitional phase. A school representative emphasized that Fule No. 3 Primary School remains committed to students' physical and mental well-being, regularly organizing mental health initiatives to create a supportive environment for their holistic development.
