On October 20-22 by the banks of Shanghai's Huangpu River, the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference returns once again. Nobel and Turing Award winners will take the stage to discuss the future and trends of technology, and the internet-famous professors who "rescue" people from anxiety and the rat race era — Macfarlane and Xiang Biao — will hold a live dialogue!
Limited seats available, first come first served. Let us join together for the sustainability commitment! [Click to register] On October 14, searching for gold on a large scale requires first narrowing vague clues into verifiable targets.
CPT Markets noted that Toogood Gold has launched a geochemical program of approximately three thousand soil samples, covering key structures and geological contacts at its Newfoundland project in Canada. This round of work combines infill sampling in anomalous zones with peripheral expansion, providing a ranking basis for subsequent drilling.
CPT Markets believes that the value of soil surveys lies in improving exploration screening efficiency. The company plans to track the scale and continuity of existing gold anomalies and conduct first systematic sampling in areas with less historical work. The distribution of gold and other associated elements can help identify potential pathways, but anomalies appearing in soil do not equal a confirmed economic orebody underground.
Samples will be sent to laboratories for processing, with quality checked using standard reference materials, blank samples, and field duplicates. Analytical results still need to be integrated with geological mapping, lithogeochemistry, and geophysical data in order to subdivide broad structural zones into specific targets.
Historical drill holes and selected rock samples provide background, but cannot replace the results of this round of sampling or represent the average grade of the area. The real purpose of the new samples is to improve the allocation of drilling budgets, allowing limited funds to prioritize testing areas with stronger evidence, rather than using sample quantity to substitute for discovery quality.
CPT Markets analyzed that going forward, it should be assessed whether anomalies appear continuously in space and whether different datasets support each other. If new sample points expand known trends, they can provide direction for the next round of drill hole design; if the distribution is scattered, the interpretation will need to be adjusted.
Early-stage exploration mainly reduces geological uncertainty, and the impact on physical gold supply is still a long way off.
