According to OEXN, technical feasibility does not automatically translate into a mature business model, as capital increasingly prioritizes projects that demonstrate stable cash flows and clearly identified buyers. The ongoing postponements are also likely to reshape order pipelines for electrolyzer manufacturers and related infrastructure providers. As developers reassess project scale and target start dates, the supply chain must shift its focus from chasing planned capacity to emphasizing delivery execution, utilization rates, and full lifecycle costs.
Going forward, key indicators to watch include actual construction commencement rates, the proportion of projects reaching financial close, and progress on industrial customer contract signings.
