Lenovo Group has initiated its "Benefit with Lenovo · Dream for the Future" smart education public welfare campaign in Ninghua County, Sanming City, Fujian Province.
The company, in partnership with the China Children and Teenagers' Fund, has donated an AI-powered smart classroom to Ninghua County Chengdong Middle School. This initiative employs a comprehensive empowerment model combining hardware donations, software support, curriculum assistance, and activity engagement to infuse the school with new momentum for artificial intelligence education.
A representative from the China Children and Teenagers' Fund stated that bringing this public welfare project to Ninghua reflects the foundational mission of the "Dream for the Future" initiative to promote balanced educational development and represents a practical step in actively supporting the national rural vitalization strategy. The organization has long been dedicated to safeguarding children's educational rights, and this collaboration marks another in-depth practice by the "Dream for the Future" project on the path to educational equity. The establishment of the AI smart classroom will open a door to the technological era of artificial intelligence for local teachers and students.
During the event, Li Ziqiang, General Manager of Emerging Markets for Lenovo China's Government and Enterprise Business, remarked that the value of technology extends beyond efficiency improvement to empowering every individual's growth and illuminating every dream. Lenovo Group consistently upholds the brand philosophy of "Smarter Technology for All," aiming to use the Ninghua AI smart classroom as a starting point to allow more children in old revolutionary base areas to experience the warmth of cutting-edge technology and assist the nation in cultivating a new generation of talent equipped with AI literacy.
The event featured a ceremony to present the AI smart classroom. Lenovo Group's donation includes an 86-inch smart blackboard, an AI smart lectern, 40 sets of Lenovo cloud desks, along with complete supporting equipment such as gigabit switches and wireless access points. The donation also encompasses free installation, debugging, and long-term dedicated after-sales support services.
The "Dream for the Future" public welfare project was jointly launched by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund and Lenovo Group in August 2022. The project focuses on four key areas: conducting scientific experiments, implementing popular science activities, upgrading smart classrooms, and empowering teachers' capabilities. It continuously explores effective pathways to bridge regional educational gaps through various means, including offering public welfare courses on scientific literacy, providing psychological care services, organizing study tours and practical activities, and donating AI terminals and educational equipment. To date, the project has been successfully implemented in multiple provinces and cities including Yunnan, Sichuan, Gansu, Henan, and Hebei, benefiting over 50,000 teachers and students cumulatively.
